DeEvolution Of Liberty by MJ0 DeEvolution Of Liberty by MJ0
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and the best political comics are worth an intelligent essay. But when it comes to trying to express the injustice of Prop 8 to its backers, no one picture remotely tells the story.

It is arguable that the Gay Marriage Dilemma is in aspects more complicated, in terms of social anthropology, than even the Civil Rights movement. That was - literally - a black and white issue.

Homosexuality, unlike Race, does not show on the outside, and is therefore too often dismissed as a non-biological condition.

Our nation is once again up against the wall of our own RESISTANCE to CHANGE. The irony at this moment in our nation's history is palpable.

How can we, America, resolve the issue of Gay Rights prior to a general consensus that the fact of homosexuality is not, by and large, a choice?

I invite others to discuss this on the internet radio show I co-host, Monday & Wednesdays 2-4pm PST live on [link] 1-323-203-0815

After Prop 8 was passed, I was kinda ashamed to of californians :\ I expected more tolerance out of us as a state.

Ugh. Same here. Of all the states, I thought it would actually work in California the best, for some reason.

Who freaking cares, people? Love is love; it does not discriminate. Why do people think that they have the right to do so for it?

Great job. :blackrose:

I am so sick of people saying "Gay marridge is bad, it will corrept the Family values, blah blah fucking blah...." If there so anual (ahah) about what the deffinition of marrige is then just call it a "Civil Uion" on legall papers, so gay people can get the same benifits as "Marride Poeple", Plus we have bigger things to worry about than who is marrying who right now.

You're are so right. The passing of Prop 8 is just so wrong. How can someone tell another person they can't do something just because they'er different?
